Drawing from his Louisiana upbringing and ancestral ties to Senegal, Bennett infuses the table light with symbolism representing freedom and unity, mirroring the guiding light of the North Star for escaped slaves. The design, featuring an asymmetric shade and earthy tones, reflects African architecture while embodying themes of togetherness and belonging.
