When a client approached us with the idea of transforming 6 acres of parkland and sheep fields into a vibrant venue for a huge party, we saw an opportunity to blend creativity, meticulous planning, and seamless execution. The brief was simple yet exciting: a village festival atmosphere. Here’s how we made it happen.

The Vision: A Village Festival

From the outset, our client envisioned a village festival—a celebration of community, music, and joy, all set against the backdrop of beautiful countryside. The challenge was to turn this vision into a reality, transforming open fields into a captivating festival venue. We knew that every detail had to be perfect to create an immersive experience for the guests.

Planning and Preparation

Planning such a large-scale event involved careful coordination and collaboration with several vendors and service providers. Our team at We Are Marble spent a number of months fine-tuning every aspect of the event, ensuring that all elements would come together seamlessly on the day.

Venue Transformation

The first step was to prepare the 6-acre site. Working with Countryside Marquees, we erected a large marquee that would serve as the central hub of the event. The marquee needed to be spacious enough to accommodate all 300 plus guests comfortably should the weather turn while maintaining the rustic charm of a village festival.

Jazz Band and Canapés

To set the tone for the afternoon, we arranged for a live jazz band to welcome the guests. As the melodious tunes filled the air, guests were treated to a selection of exquisite canapés, perfectly curated to tantalise their taste buds. The combination of live music, gourmet appetisers and the sounds of The Fabulous Miss Jones trio created a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, inviting guests to unwind and enjoy the festivities.

The Feast: A Sharing Platter Extravaganza

One of the highlights of the event was the sharing platter meal provided by The Brothers Supper. Known for their exceptional culinary skills, The Brothers Supper crafted a menu that was both sumptuous and diverse. Large platters brimming with an array of delicacies were placed on each table, encouraging guests to share and savour the meal together. This communal dining experience was a nod to the village festival theme, encouraged guests to act in a more communal manor and foster a sense of camaraderie and connection among the guests.

Lighting Up the Night

As the sun began to set, the transformation of the venue truly came to life. Red Occasions, experts in lighting and sound, were brought on board to create a visually stunning and immersive environment. They meticulously installed lighting and sound equipment throughout the 6-acre site, ensuring that every corner was bathed in a magical glow.

The real magic happened when the lights were switched on. Trees were illuminated with vibrant colours, the buildings bathed in a warm glow and the dance area came to life.  The seamless integration of lighting with the music created an enchanting atmosphere that captivated the guests and transported them to a festival dance wonderland.

The Party Kicks Off

With the scene set, it was time for the evening party to begin. The DJ’s and musicians took to the stage, filling the air with energetic beats and infectious rhythms. The dance floor quickly became the heart of the event, with guests dancing and celebrating under the starry sky. The synergy between the music and the lighting created an electric atmosphere, making the night truly unforgettable.

Refreshments and Libations

No festival is complete without a well-stocked bar, and From the Hatch ensured that guests had an array of drinks to choose from. From expertly crafted cocktails to fine wines and draft beers and ciders, the bar provided something for everyone. The bartenders were not only skilled in their craft but also added to the lively and festive atmosphere with their friendly service and engaging personalities.

The Breakdown: Returning to Nature

While the event itself was a spectacular success, our commitment to excellence extended to the post-event phase. After the last guest had departed and the final note of music had faded, our team set to work dismantling the site. In just 24 hours, we restored the 6 acres of parkland and sheep fields to their original state, ensuring that no trace of the event remained. Our dedication to leaving no impact on the environment is a core value at We Are Marble, and we take great pride in our ability to execute this flawlessly.
